I was on a SAS flight from Copenhagen to Seattle a couple of years ago and having broadband service in the air was awesome. I was IM&#8217;ing with my mom and watching streaming video from the comfort of my airplane seat. It&#8217;s sad to see it gone, but it seemed massively over-engineered (I think it added 500 lbs to the weight of the plane). Hopefully the future will be cheaper.</p> <p>I&#8217;m flying JetBlue, which seems to have <em>one</em> plane with network access.
